(HN10) – House Number Ten is an artist book comprised of five pencil and charcoal line drawings, that has been drawn layer by layer with plentiful time for each layer. AlAji creates the layering technique, which is an act of drawing layer over layer in a process of (Draw, scan, print, redraw),mimicking the time, year over year layer by layer, thus embedding all the emotions, memories and stories in each layer/Time. 

 

The process of drawing with the use of repetition platform allowing the artist to re-form the memory into “hand made” lines and spoken words that fatiguing the memory in mind and soul.
